We’re delighted to share that Heywood Cricket Club has made the final three for Club/Group of the Year at the 2026 Rochdale Borough Active Awards! 💙🏏

The award recognises a community club or group for its success, community engagement and overall impact across the borough over the past 12 months. 

For us, this recognition is about far more than what happens on the cricket field.

Heywood Cricket Club is powered by an incredible group of players, coaches, volunteers, members, sponsors, parents and supporters who give their time and energy to make Crimble a place for the whole community.

From our senior and junior cricket, through to community events, charity fundraising and simply providing a place where people can come together – there is a huge amount that goes on behind the scenes throughout the year.

So, to be named among the final three clubs/groups across Rochdale Borough is something we can all be incredibly proud of.

The Rochdale Borough Active Awards celebrate those making a difference through sport, physical activity and helping local communities to be active.
