A tough weekend for Heywood CC as all three senior sides suffered defeat.
1st XI – Defeat v Denton St Lawrence
Heywood fell short chasing 228, finishing on 146. On debut, Sam Staley was the standout with the ball, taking an impressive 6-46. With the bat, Andy Dawson made his first half-century of the season, while Mikey Witts showed his potential with a well-crafted 51 *.

2nd XI – Defeat v Stretford
The second team were beaten after Stretford posted 224-7 from 45 overs, with youngster Mhaaz Khan taking 3-45. In reply, Heywood reached 152, with skipper Stephen Evans top scoring with a quickfire 32 at the top.

3rd XI – Defeat v Glodwick
Glodwick set 180-6 from 40 overs, with Oli Staley picking up 3 wickets with his off spin. Heywood replied with 152, Oli Rawlinson top scoring with 44.
