A successful Saturday for the 1st and 2nd XIs, before a tough Sunday for the 3rd XI and Development Team.

1st XI ✅
A superb victory over league leaders Heaton! The visitors were bowled out for 176, with Greg Butterworth producing a match-winning spell of 5-38. A special mention also goes to 15-year-old Matt Fern, who impressed on his 1st XI debut, taking 2 wickets with the new ball.

In reply, Heywood chased the target with almost 15 overs to spare, winning by 3 wickets. Butterworth top scored with 47, while a crucial 50-run seventh wicket partnership between Sean Burrill (28) and Mikey Grogan (28)* guided Heywood to a memorable victory.

2nd XI ✅
The Seconds edged a thrilling contest against bottom club Hindley St Peter’s, winning by just 2 runs. Ollie Rawlinson (38) led the batting, while a vital last-wicket stand of 21 between Charles Stanford-Campbell (23)* and Umer Khan (6)* proved decisive.

With the ball, Will Taylor was outstanding, taking 6-37, while Umer Khan chipped in with 3-34 to see Heywood over the line.

3rd XI
A disappointing end to the cup run as the Thirds were beaten by a strong Clifton side in the semi-final. Clifton posted 176-9, with Dean Ashton taking 3-30, before Heywood were dismissed for 102.

Development XI
The Development Team suffered a narrow defeat away at Stretford. Bowled out for 89, they fought hard with the ball, reducing the hosts to 89-7 before Stretford secured victory. Noah Sherwood claimed 3 wickets, while Haydn Evans took 2.
